Please be sure to visit the Biblical Perspectives Blog featuring posts on various topics by Charles Clough, Dr. Robert Dean and, Dr. Thomas Ice. The purpose of this blog is to help Christians further develop their critical thinking skills about current events in our world. This entails doing three things. First, we need to make sure we understand what the Bible says. As we learn what the Bible teaches (”sound Bible doctrine”), we learn the thinking of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16). From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible presents a unified, coherent, and cohesive system of thought that provides the believer with the ability to discern the trends, the traps, the patterns in the world around us so that we can better understand what is going on and why it is happening. We call this cohesive system of thought a biblical framework. The biblical framework stands in contrast with the framework of the world’s thinking, which the Bible often describes as worldliness. Second, we need to have a clear understanding of the events of our times, from politics to academia, from wall street to main street, in order to evaluate all the little subcultures of our world in light of the “counter culture” of biblical Christianity. Third, we need to develop the skill to take the biblical framework and lay it over the current events in order to develop a biblical understanding of our times so we can make wise decisions.
"I thought you would like to know the far-reaching impact of the Framework series. Slowly, with the help of the Holy Spirit, your magnificent undertaking is touching many lives, not only in the US, but in parts of the former USSR as well."
